Report of 1st UTM Symposium Results -Presentation of the Latest JAXA’s R&D Results-
On Wednesday, March 27th 2019, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), which entrusts “R & D on overall design of operation management system” in the NEDO DRESS project, held “1st UTM* Symposium” at Ichijo Hall, Yayoi Hall, in Tokyo University.
* UTM: UAS Traffic Management
There were over 150 attendees who are interested in drones and UTM. We presented the latest research and development results of the "DRESS (Drones and Robots for Ecologically Sustainable Societies) project" promoted by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) on the basic concept and system architecture of UTM that support the development of the drone industry. We also discussed the future prospects of UTM as a platform to generate new value through the use of "sky".
