Report on exhibit at "Japan Drone 2019" / Report on "DRESS Project Forum" ~Presenting latest R&D results for accelerating social implementation of drones~
NEDO exhibited at "Japan Drone 2019" held at Makuhari Messe, Chiba City from March 13th to 15th, 2019, and held the "DRESS Project Forum" to announce the latest research and development results .
At the exhibition booth, participants from inside and outside Japan and media coverage were given explanation of each R&D theme, such as aircraft performance evaluation methods, fire resistant drone, operation management and collision avoidance system.
At the "DRESS Project Forum", a keynote speech was given by Los Angeles Fire Department Tom Haus. Also, R&D contents of each company were presented. The number of participants was approx. 1,600, which was higher than last year.

Each companies introduced aircraft and demonstration experiments to domestic and foreign visitors and media.

At the beginning, Tom Haus gave a keynote speech on how to evaluate the performance of drones in the US and on the US-Japan collaboration.

As a Los Angeles City Fire Department staff member, he led various firefighting and disaster sites including 9/11. Also, He is a fire and disaster response robot expert who involves in the development and performance evaluation of robots used by the fire department.
