Video of collision avoidance system's detection performance test is released
On December 10-14th, with the cooperation of Fukushima and Minami-Soma City, NEDO, Subaru Corporation, JRC Nihon Musen, Nippon Avionics Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric, Autonomous Control Systems Laboratory Ltd. will have the world’s first detection performance test of a collision avoidance system mounted on a medium-sized unmanned aircraft at the “Fukushima Robot Test Field” in the reconstruction industrial area.
Please check the video of the collision avoidance system's detection performance test. (Japanese only)
This test is a simulated collision avoidance test in which a mid-sized unmanned aircraft flies around a manned helicopter (airborne) by following a route designed in advance. The unmanned aircraft was equipped with various sensors and a receiver compatible with the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System, and we confirmed the operation of the collision avoidance system, such as whether it could properly detect the object (manned helicopter) during flight.
