Objective

① Research on unmanned aircraft identification technologies
・ Development of a communication system for sharing iIdentification and location information of unmanned aircraft

② Study of remote IDs aimed at social implementation
・ Prototype miniaturization and performance improvement of direct broadcast devices
・ Research and development of network-based remote IDs

③ Study of airspace sharing with manned aircraft
・ Development of technology and testing systems for information sharing required for airspace sharing between manned and unmanned aircraft

④ Research on an information integration architecture
・ Architectural design to integrate communication systems and information sharing systems complementing information sharing into traffic management system

 

 

Outline

For the safe and secure operation of unmanned aircraft, R&D will be conducted to resolve various issues, including the development of communication technologies and devices for remote identification of unmanned aircraft, the sharing of flight plans and aircraft information with manned aircraft that share unmanned aircraft and airspace, and the consideration of an information integration architecture to expand these operational management. Demonstrate results at the Fukushima RTF in 2021.

 

Relevant Achievement

・Set the broadcast communication evaluation test method using Bluetooth5.0
・Evaluation tests were conducted on a unmanned aircraft flying at an altitude of approximately 150m equipped with a prototype transmitter
・Maximum communication success rate of 95% was confirmed at a horizontal distance of 300m.
