R&D of safety standards establishment for unmanned aircraft

・ Propose performance evaluation methods for performance and safety that are necessary for the formulation of safety standards for unmanned aircrafts according to risk levels for flights outside the eye and over a third party

・ Compile the contents of the research into the performance evaluation procedure document while ensuring consistency with the existing industrial standards and aim for prompt disclosure after the research period.



1. Industry standardization of performance evaluation methods for unmanned aircrafts
2. Consider of performance evaluation standards for performance and safety required for the formulation of safety standards for unmanned aircrafts (Energy management, risk reduction, noise evaluation, etc.)
3. Consider of security standards required for unmanned aircrafts
4. R&D of performance evaluation standards required for small airframes that can fly in non-GPS environments


Relevant Achievement

Some of the results of fiscal 2018-2019 have been published as "Guidelines on Performance Evaluation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Developed" on the METI website.
