R&D of the Concept and Architecture Design of the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) System

Participants The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)
Overview

Objective

We design the operation concept and system architecture for UTM (UAS Traffic Management) to realize high-density BVLOS operation of small UAS. As a tool for that, we develop a UTM simulator to evaluate the safety and efficiency of the operation for the designed UTM concept / system architecture. The simulator can help to verify each element of the system and also validate the integrated system.
